The 29 freshly sworn-in ministers of Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai were given portfolios on Saturday, with the CM himself maintaining the crucial posts of Finance, Bengaluru Development, and Cabinet Affairs.

Following Yediyurappa’s resignation, Bommai was chosen as the new leader of the BJP parliamentary party and took office as Chief Minister on July 28. Eight Lingayats, seven Vokkaligas, seven OBCs, three SCs, two Brahmins, one ST, one Reddy, and a woman are among the new cabinet’s ministers.
According to the high command’s orders, there would be no Deputy Chief Ministers in Bommai’s cabinet, and Yediyurappa’s younger son and state BJP Vice President B Y Vijayendra will not be among the Ministers who will be sworn in.
