Telangana: SCs will campaign against TRS if Dalitha Bandhu is not implemented by August 31 – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga on Wednesday said various Dalit organisations in the state will hold a massive public meeting “Dalitha Garjana” with a gathering of lakhs of people in Huzurabad Assembly constituency on September 5 to defeat the TRS in the ensuing by-poll to the constituency.
Krishna Madiga said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should ensure that Telangana Dalitha bandhu scheme should be completed in Huzurabad Assembly constituency by August 15 and remaining 118 Assembly segments in the state by August 31, failing which Dalitha Garjana would be held on September 5.
Krishna Madiga made it clear that the Dalits do not have any objection to CM KCR and the ruling TRS deriving political mileage out of Dalitha Bandhu scheme but only if it is implemented in the entire state before the election notification for the Huzurabad by-poll.
“The SCs do not want Dalitha Bandhu to end up after Huzurabad by poll. The Rs 10,000 flood compensation in GHMC area was stopped due to poll notification for GHMC. Though KCR promised to extend it after polls, he did not do it,” Krishna Madiga said.
Various Dalit organisations would also hold demonstrations and pada yatras in August in Huzurabad and 118 assembly constituenies to tell the Dalits to not to trust KCR and TRS until Dalitha bandhu scheme implementation covers all the SCs in the state by August end.
Other demands of various Dalit organisations including MRPS are induct three more ministers from SC community in the state cabinet, promote Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar as Deputy Chief Minister, posting of IAS officers and advisors in CMO, allotment land in Hitech city to nearly 60 sub-castes of SCs near the site allotted to Velama community, allocation of Rs 25,000 crores towards distribution of three acres land to poor Dalits among others.
